2003 Issue of Pipeline Newsletter Available On The Web

WV-The latest issue of Pipeline, a free National Small
Flows Clearinghouse (NSFC) newsletter, is now online at www.nesc.wvu.edu/nsfc/nsfc_pipeline.htm
Pipeline is written
for a general audience, and each issue explains a wastewater technology
or theme of interest to local officials and community residents.
The articles are presented in an easy-to-read, nontechnical style,
and each issue includes a list of contacts and resources.
"Septic Tank Enhancement"
(Fall 2003, Volume 14, No. 4, Item # SFPNNL35) investigates
some of the options available to enhance the efficiency of your
septic tank or to make maintenance practices more convenient. The
size and configuration of the septic tank itself is discussed as
well as any special installation considerations. The benefits of
using baffles and tees, effluent filters, access ports, gas vents,
and greasetraps are presented with photos and diagrams of several
of these enhancements.
